The iOS operating system offers several options for customizing the display of contact information within the Contacts application. Users can modify the order and visibility of various data fields, influencing how names and other details are presented.

Name Order Preferences

By default, iOS typically displays contact names using the order specified during contact creation. This often involves a combination of a person's first and last names, potentially including middle names or prefixes/suffixes.

Modifying Name Display within the Contacts App

Changes made to contact names on a device using iCloud will be synchronized to other devices logged into the same account, ensuring consistent display across various Apple devices. Similar synchronization may occur with other contact sync services.
